How to Make a Caffe Latte
I am a coffee addict or at the very least a coffee lover. I love all types of coffee…. iced, hot, with cream, black, lattes, cappuccinos, cold brew….. you get the picture, ALL coffee variations. I really love a coffee that I can get in a drive-thru. Yep, I said a drive-thru…. meaning I am ambitious yet lazy all at the same time. I tend to be as basic as it gets and go to Starbucks drive-thru regularly. Recently, I decided I would start trying to make my own coffee drinks at home, not because I don’t love my drive-thru coffees, but because I am a babe on a budget…. a $6 coffee 5 days a week for a year adds up to $1,560 spent on coffee in a just one year. YIKES!
Here is the recipe I have been loving lately. It takes less than 2 minutes, tastes super yummy, and doesn’t have a ton of calories…. all things we love.
Caffe Latte Ingredients
2 shots of espresso ( I use Voltesso the Nespresso pod)
Honey
6 ounces of Coconut Almondmilk or milk of your choosing
Cinnamon
Caffe Latte Instructions
1. Put the 2 shots of espresso of your choice in your favorite coffee mug. I have a Nespresso machine so this is very easy for me, but you can also use about 4 ounces of coffee if you don’t have an espresso machine.
2. Squeeze honey into your espresso and mix it up with a hand mixer. I’ll link my favorite here.
3. Add about 6 ounces of Coconut Almondmilk to a frother top with a little cinnamon. Froth your milk until there is foam on the top. My frother stops on its own when it is ready. It takes about 30 seconds.
4. Pour your frothed milk with cinnamon on top of your espresso and enjoy!
Options: If you don’t have a small mixer you can use a fork and mix the espresso and honey. If you don’t have a frother, you can build the milk on the stovetop.
If you make this drink, I’d love to know, tag me on Instagram or DM.
